ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101

And so the tablet war has begun and every major company is preparing their “A Game” in motion from Apple to Sony we saw it all and all of them look good and tempting but for me this is a tablet I call mine I present ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101.

It is an Ultra thin and light design in a unique, stylish pattern With a super slim profile of only 12.98mm thick in a frame that weighs only 680g, the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is comfortable to hold from any position. The unique textured pattern offers a better tactile sensation, so it won’t feel as if it will slip out of your hands.

Powerful mini-cinema entertainment on-the-go Powered by the NVIDIA® Tegra™ 2 dual-core processor, the Transformer browses the web at blazing speeds, providing a snappier response time and better performance when multi-tasking. Sporting a HDMI 1.3a port, the Transformer can connect to a HDTV and 5.1 surround sound system, delivering an enhanced multimedia experience. In addition of an IPS Panel made from durable and scratch-resistant glass is viewable at angles up to 178°, and produces a crisper and more accurate color range by up to 50% when compared to other tablets in the market. With 5MP rear- and 1.2MP front-facing camera can shoot and record HD video, which can be played back in stunning 1080p. Output to HD video on HDTVs is also available via a mini HDMI output port, making it a true mobile entertainment device. Built-in SRS Sound technology provides a dynamic 3D stereo audio experience, with maximum bass response and a wide sound field from the discrete speakers housed within the Transformer.

What also draws me to it is… It Transform to notebook mode with keyboard mobile docking and 16 hours of battery life. The Transformer sets itself apart from other tablets on the market by featuring an optional docking station. This provides access to a full QWERTY keyboard along with unique Android Function keys, turning the tablet Transformer into a full-fledged notebook. A touchpad, 3.5mm audio jack, two USB ports as well as a built-in SD Card reader for easy file sharing and storage expandability makes the Transformer a versatile media hub. The docking station also extends the Transformer’s 9.5 hours of battery life up to 16 hours, so users can use it all day for work and play. And it will be Preloaded on the Transformer is Polaris® Office® 3.0, a professional mobile office Solution which enables users to edit various types of office documents including documents (.doc), spreadsheets (.xls) and presentation (.ppt) files, making the Transformer very attractive for professional use. In addition, the ultra-convenient ASUS WebStorage with one year of unlimited storage space provides worry-free cloud computing.

Operating System you say… well it operate on Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS with ASUS Waveshare UI Google’s Android Honeycomb is a revolutionary operating system specially designed and optimized for tablets, and enables users a full web experience for on-the-go web browsing, communicating and casual computing. Supporting Adobe® Flash® 10.2 and the ever growing Android Market, entertainment is a finger swipe away. While ASUS’ Waveshare Interface hosts a variety of unique applications such as MyNet, MyLibrary, MyCloud and more. MyNet easily streams digital media wirelessly within home network devices so HD videos or music can be played on devices such as an HDTV or desktop PCs for an even better experience from the Transformer. And I have to mention for book readers like I d that MyLibrary consolidates downloaded books, magazines and newspapers in to one easy step. Also Music, listen to your music or online radio and bring them wherever you go. The convenient ASUS Launcher also allows users to easily launch software, manage content and access online services and connect devices with a few simple taps. The MyCloud application is a total cloud solution, providing access to digital content such as music, videos and files from the cloud anywhere, anytime. Users can even use MyCloud to remotely access and control any PC or Mac system and access applications or files to extend the versatility of the Eee Pad Transformer experience. And my Highlights for this great piece of tech is rounded in 10 inch touch screen (For my everyday & social network use) with it specially made optimized keyboard (For my Blog use), Surfing the internet and watching the YouTube is never been better, though my bookshelf will be empty of my English Books at least I have a great book reader for it and taking it with me everywhere I want and with so many external storage port for extra space. The Android Honeycomb OS is my favorite for the tablet they done a great job creating this system maybe you will find few things doesn’t add up but there is always an update

So like I said if you looking for a great nice affordable tablet this is the one for you I tested the new Samsung Galaxy Tab from a friend of mine and this is also a good choice for a tablet too if you are considering other tablet than ASUS… So anyway I really love my new tablet and it comes with 16GB & 32GB mine was 16GB & it cost me with it keyboard 2,200 SAR which around 587 USD but if you just need the tablet without the keyboard you can get it 1,800 SAR which is around 480 USD and it got on my scale 4.8/5.

Sony Walkman NWZ-W252

For some reason I feel judged by so many people I know we all agree on iPod and mine is perfectly fine but since I’m back to gym again I really needed something more simple, sports useful, wireless and affordable Mp3 player and this was the best choice of all especially with users my very own Sony Walkman NWZ-W252.

The all-new wearable style NWZ-W252 Walkman Player is now back with improved water resistant function and what’s more, it’s here without wires again! A perfect companion for sports enthusiasts as it features ZAPPIN and Folder Skip Functions to ease searching for your favorite song. It has 2GB capacity unfortunately (-_-).New and improved water resistant Walkman MP3 Player.  New Wearable style Walkman – no more stress from tangled wires. 11 Hours Battery Life (Quick charge : 3 minutes charge 90 minutes play back). Easy operation with sound guidance in Walkman Player

It has a Superb Battery Stamina Often the bugbear of hand-held entertainment devices, battery performance has been given a longer lease of life in our Walkman MP3 Players – stay enshrined in crystal-clear music or high-resolution videos for long hours. Drag-and-Drop Transfer your music, videos, photos, even playlists, seamlessly between your PC and Walkman with Content Transfer software via hi-speed USB connection. With large 13.5mm driver units that support wide dynamic frequency range playback, you can expect high-fidelity treble and deep powerful bass from Sony’s EX Headphones. Soft silicon earbuds make for comfortable wear while providing excellent insulation against ambient noise – transforming your ear canals into air-tight audio chambers. With Quick Charge Technology from Sony, it only takes three minutes of charging to render you with up to 3 hours (selected models only) of blissful music on the go. Finally ZAPPIN Technology Searching for your favorite song has never been easier and more fun! With the press of a button, ZAPPIN enables you to “ZAP-in” to preview the chorus of the next track with a choice of either 4 or 15 seconds, making it easy to browse and find the track you want. Found your tune? Simply press the button again to “ZAP-out” to start playback from the beginning.

My Walkman by the way is a special edition suits for video gamers like me the Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Limited Edition it has preinstalled 4 songs with it for the game and a character code for Peace Walker (Sorry guys already gave it to my little brother) and that’s all of it unless you are a military head which is fine nobody judge here I presume….

So This great piece of tech was really useful with me in the gym I mean my poor iPhone was falling every time when I’m in the treadmill that have a device holder I mean come on I’ll be crippled if I don’t have my phone right. So I got this great piece of tech for 299 SAR which it will be around 79.73 USD available in White, Black, Pink & Green and in my scale it got 4.3/5 because I wished for a better capacity I mean 2GB come on Sony (-_-).

Logitech LS11 Stereo Speakers

In an earlier post I mentioned that I moved to a new house and I made a lot of upgrades for my PC for an example my new Samsung PC Monitor BX2250 and I mentioned that it doesn’t have a built in speakers so that was devastating but I looked up at Cnet.com, IGN.com and T3 magazine and I discovered that the only good yet affordable Logitech Stereo Speakers that they agree on from performance and fashion is the Logitech LS11 Stereo Speakers.

This gorges piece of fashion is Sleek, little speakers with a cable management system give you clear sound while helping keep your desk clear. With Compact speakers Two-inch (5.1 cm) high-excursion metallic drivers let you enjoy clear, quality sound in a compact size. Also Auxiliary Input Jack so You can connect your CD, DVD, or MP3 player for more listening option. With Headphone jack when you want to listen privately, you just plug in your headphones. And finally Cable management system so your cables stay under control and your desk stays uncluttered.

Yeah I know I’ve should’ve chose the new version LS21 but I didn’t need a subwoofer because I don’t watch movies on my computer thanks to my ASUS O!Play and also I could with Logitech 360 degree technology but I was on a budget and I have to stick with it but you all should know when we buy a piece of tech we should find a very good reason why we should take it and how the use of it will benefit me in so many ways and we always should remember that anyway this beautiful piece of tech cost me 75 SAR which is around 20 USD and it rated on my scale 4.4/5.

Samsung PC Monitor BX2250

O.K. since I’ve moved to my new home I finally have a reason to get rid of my nice and old Philips PC Monitor and I had to because it’s been with me since 2004, old age is showing on it and it took too much desk space I’ve hunted for the best and affordable LED PC Monitor in the KSA unfortunately there is no ASUS PC Monitors yet so I went to my next favorite things in the category Samsung PC Monitor BX2250.

I’ve bought the 21” Screen with LED Display, Black Cabinet Color Design, a 1920 x 1080 Resolution, 250 cd/m² Brightness, 2miliseconed Response Time, 1000:1Typical Contrast Ratio, 1,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, 170˚ / 160˚ (CR > 10) Viewing Angle 16.7 M Colors Supported Great specs (^_^), but unfortunately no Speakers (-_-).

All that with Samsung original features of Magic Angle, Magic Eco, Magic Return, MagicBright3, MagicWizard & MagicTune Technologies and the box contains VGA cable and DVI to HDMI cable.

I can say I absolutely love it I feel more motivated in writing in the blog, surfing the internet and playing HD YouTube videos who know that it is so clear on YouTube and it was worth money spent for me this year I mean this baby cost me 780 SAR which is around 208 USD let me tell you my PC world became big when I bought it and no one can blame me for that because I’ve been with a very old PC Monitor since 2004 you guys (-_-) although I was hoping that it will have a built in speakers that is the downsize of it but it gave a chance to a new tech that I will post about it soon if you ask me how I rate it I say 4.4/5.
